NADA POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
1. DRESS CODE
All students are required to adhere to the dress code. (refer to NADA Dress Code) There are no exceptions.
Wear hair pulled back, secured off the face. Hair must be in a bun for ALL ballet, character, and modern classes.
Students must maintain a respectful attitude toward teachers, parents, and fellow students at all times.
No food or drinks are allowed in the classrooms! Students may bring water in non-breakable, sealed bottles.
The school is not responsible or liable for any lost or stolen items or valuables.
3. ATTENDANCE & MAKE-UP CLASSES
Students are expected to attend all classes for which they are enrolled.
Pre-Ballet Students participating in the Summer Camps are limited to a maximum of 4 hours a day.
Prior to any absence, it is your responsibility to notify the school.
Any missed class may be made up in the same or lower level. No refunds or credits are given for missed classes, family trips or vacations during the school year, or for closings due to inclement weather.
Tardy students may only be admitted by consent of the instructor. Students later than fifteen (15) minutes from the start time of class may be asked to sit and observe the remainder of class.
4. MINIMUM CLASS SIZE
Six active students consistently constitute a class. Fewer students may result in a schedule change or cancellation.
5. ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION
Photos, videos, film, or audio recordings taken during a NADA participating event becomes the property of NADA. NADA reserves the right to use any of those items for marketing and publicity purposes. Your signature on the registration form indicates your understanding and acceptance of this policy.
Tuition is for the entire school year. Monthly tuition is pro-rated over 9½ months and calculated on actual weeks of instruction. Payments are due by the 10th of each month. Statements are sent only when your account is past due. Special statements are sent in November, January, and March to remind you of costume charges and recital fees.
7. NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL
You are responsible for payment of all classes your student/s are enrolled in until we are notified in writing at least thirty days (30) in advance of withdrawal. Missed lessons cannot be used in place of payment.
ACTIVITY WAIVER AND RELEASE
As the parent or legal guardian of a minor child or children registered in North Atlanta Dance Academy, I hereby acknowledge that participation in classes, rehearsals or performances may have a risk of physical injury or illness. In consideration for the acceptance of the registration of the Participant and permitting his or her participation in the aforementioned activities, I hereby release, discharge and hold harmless North Atlanta Dance Academy Inc/North Atlanta Dance Theatre, Inc. including but not limited to its officers, directors, employees, administrators, agents, volunteers, legal representatives and assigns (collectively “NADA/NADT”) from any claims arising out of or relating to any injury or illness that may result to Participant while participating in the Activities, including any injury or illness which may be the result of negligence by any employee, volunteer or other representative while performing his or her duties during the Activities. For the purposes of this Waiver and Release, I understand that “Activities” may apply to a sequence of meetings or events, and not one specific date.
This Waiver and Release should be construed under Georgia law.
If any sentence, phrase, paragraph, provision, portion or clause of this Waiver and Release should at any time be declared or judged invalid, unlawful, unconstitutional or unenforceable for any reason, said adjudication or declaration shall in no way affect the other sentences, phrases, provisions, portions or clauses, and all remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion adjudged or declared invalid was not originally a part hereof.
