Marissa entered North Atlanta Dance Academy in 2001 at the age of 11.

In 2005 she was accepted into North Atlanta Dance Theatre and performed in such works asTatiana Makarova’sNarada,Sleeping Beauty, Michael Garrison’s Carmen, The Nutcrackerand Mr. Garrison’sPirates of the Phantom Waves. She attended numerous summer intensives including training under scholarship at the Joffrey Ballet and Orlando Ballet School. Marissa graduated in 2009 as an Honors Company member and went on to attend Harvard University. While at Hrvard she danced with the Harvard Ballet Company, performing works by George Balanchine and Peter Pucci as well as classical works such as Les Sylphide and Don Quixote. Upon graduation from Harvard, she moved to New York City where she is working in the financial world in Times Square, taking various master classes, and continuing to dance as much as possible.
