Christina Simkovich

Christina began her professional training at age 8 with ballet master Leonid Lubarsky from the Kirov Ballet.

She spent many years with him as well at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Pittsburgh Youth Ballet, The Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts high school (CAPA), and The academy for Arts Science and Technology in Myrtle Beach.  She has performed soloist roles for North Atlanta Dance Theatre in ballets such as Giselle, Synergy, Pirates of the Phantom Waves, and the Nutcracker. She has worked with Ballethnic in the Urban Nutcracker as Rat Queen and in Pittsburgh Musical Theatre's production of Cats as Cassandra, the Egyptian Cat.  Christina also has a passion for choreography and acting.  She has choreographed pieces in Pittsburgh's Light Up Night, Continuum Dance Company's Show Love Etc., and North Atlanta Dance Theatre's contemporary Fall Showcase.  She performed a leading role in the feature independent film "The Quiet Arrangement" and the short film, "One More Kiss."  She is very happy to be back in Atlanta once again performing with North Atlanta Dance Theatre.  Christina also teaches multiple forms of dance including ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, and contemporary. She has been a guest teacher for The Academy for Arts Science and Technology and has also instructed for Myrtle Beach School of the Performing Arts, Pittsburgh Ballet House, and North Pittsburgh Dance.  Christina is very proud to be currently teaching at North Atlanta Dance Academy.
